Kiting in offshore winds. Forget all you where taught in the first kite lesson.
The best anchor spots are in the lee of a nice bay. This way, there are hardly any waves, and the time on anchor can be spent in piece and quiet. The best kite spots are with onshore or crossshore wind on the beach. These two seem to be the epitome of incompatibility... Anchoring in onshore winds is a big NO, so the kiting has to be in offshore winds. We did the set-up of the kite on the beach. I used the kite to body drag into deeper water. Elizabeth handed me the board using the dinghy. At the end of the session, she skilfully retrieved the kite and rider from the water.
