Atlantic crossing - Day 5 - Passing the Savage Savagem Islands

Day 5
The reef we had put into the sail was a good foresight, as a few hours later, a second reef is put on top. While I prepare for the second reef, I watch a large school of dolphins play next to the boat in the moon light.
As we approach the Salvagem islands, we see a see turtle. It stops what is was doing, and looks up at the SaltyPaws. The Salvagem island was pretty spectacular, and looks completely uninhabited. There is just the lighthouse that we could make out. As it is 6 Beaufort, and there is a significant sea state, and the sea charts are notoriously bad in the area, we decide not to stop. We see large breakers around the island, on the uncharted rocks. Around the Savage islands, we see many birds flying around the high waves, especially downwind of the island. Today is is record distance, at 149 Nautial miles.
